Project And – Connection (2018)

Site specific works at an abandoned German school, Tbilisi, Georgia

"And" is used as a function word to indicate a connection or addition and to join members or proposals. Project And – Connection’s one of the main goals is to establish a network between the new generation of contemporary Georgian artists, who work in Tbilisi. Cleaning out the rubble and working together in a space, which used to be a former German school, we are giving a new function to the abandoned building. And even though, this building is connected to a working part of a public school through a bridge, it seems to have lost all of its connection to inhabitants nearby. As a gesture, not to intimidate and invite people living nearby to see the group show, we set up a Georgian Supra (feast) and made a traditional stew – Chakapuli, on-site
